I’ve been a runner for around four years now, and in that time I have realized that the half marathon is by far my favourite distance. Long enough to properly get into a rhythm and apply some race buildup (I am no sprinter, nor am I aspiring to be one) and not as long as a full marathon. I have trained for the full one once, but failed and realized it’s probably not for me.
My current half marathon personal best is 1:34:09, from April 2010. I hope to beat this in 2012.
